Orchard Manor School, a member of the Special Partnership Trust, is celebrating a recent Ofsted inspection that awarded the school an overall rating of 'Good' with 'Outstanding' behaviours and attitudes.

The report highlighted the unanimous agreement among pupils, parents, carers, staff, and leadership that Orchard Manor is a school where pupils flourish and thrive, even in the face of significant changes since the last inspection. The school's values are central to creating an environment where pupils learn and develop towards successful and aspirational futures.

The report emphasised the school's success in creating a calm and motivating environment, where pupils are tolerant, respectful, and feel safe. The strong relationships between staff and pupils were highlighted as a key factor in nurturing a positive atmosphere. Pupils are encouraged to express their views successfully, equipped with effective communication approaches and confidence.

The report recognised the school's strengths in pupils' wider development, establishment of rich opportunities, and experiences crucial for social and emotional growth. It also noted the well-considered curriculum and the success in subjects like English, maths, PE, and PSHE. The post-16 provision was praised for providing students with a bespoke vocational and life skills-based curriculum.
