Devon Outreach
Holistic and Collaborative Solutions for Inclusive Education
Welcome to the outreach page for Devon. This is an exciting new development for Special Partnership Trust; we are working with a number of partners including Devon County Council, Ellen Tinkham School and our Devon SPT schools. Please see below more information about what is currently on offer and being developed in Devon.
Transition Project: Year 6 pupils into Year 7
April – October 25
This is a funded project that will take place in 2025 supporting secondary schools with their SEN provision focussing on helping children to smoothly transition across the phase. SPT will be offering specialist information advice and guidance (SIAG) support on whole school approaches to support learners with SEN- focussing on effective transitions.
We are not taking applications for this as we are working directly with Secondary School leads. If you have any questions regarding this project, please contact Operations Manager Emilie Warren- ewarren@specialpartnership.org
Education South West: SEN Hub
March- September 25
Special Partnership Trust are working with ESW to pilot whole-school SEN support in a number of their schools in the Newton Abbot area. We will be delivering specialist advice and guidance (SIAG) on tried and tested whole school strategies to improve universal provision in selected ESW schools.
We are also supporting ESW to develop a new SEN Hub- this will continue beyond September 2025. The hub will open up new places for children and upskill existing staff to be able to deliver outreach in the locality. This will become the blueprint to duplicate in other areas of Devon. We are excited to begin this work and see the new hub come to fruition. We will then use the blueprint offer in other localities to be able to support children across the county.
Wider outreach
We are working in partnership with Ellen Tinkham School and Devon County Council to deliver a sustainable and robust model of outreach support.
Our vision ‘is for a world where every single young person has access to the best education they need - delivered in the best possible environment - so they can thrive, succeed, and flourish no matter what circumstances they face.’
Ellen Tinkham: 'Every child and young person with SEND has the right to be their best self; to dream, aspire and achieve.'
We have developed strands of outreach that support your setting to achieve this. Please click on the drop-down menus for more information on the different strands of our outreach service.
