Tim has been a Trustee for the Special Partnership Trust since September 2019. During this time, he has been appointed as Chair of both the Finance Committee and Audit Committee. In September 2022 Tim stepped down as Trustee to become a Member.

Tim’s employment is with the Aspire Academy Trust as their Director of Finance and Operations. Following working within the Cornwall LA education finance team, Tim moved to Aspire in 2011 and since then, has overseen the growth and change from a SAT into a 3 academy MAT in 2013 and now to 28 academies. The role has evolved over time and although it is predominantly finance based, Tim also oversees all of the support services for the Trust. It has also included the application and financial planning of opening the new free school at Nansledan near Newquay which opened in September 2019.

Tim was also accredited as a SRMA for the DFE in January 2019 and has worked with both SATs and MATs in the South West of England since this time as part of this role.
