Join Our Local Governing Body as a Co-opted Governor!

Are you passionate about education and eager to make a difference in your community? The Special Partnership Trust is seeking dedicated individuals to join one of our Local Governing Bodies as Co-opted Governor.

About Us: The Special Partnership Trust is committed to providing exceptional education and support to children with special educational needs. Our schools are vibrant, inclusive, and focused on ensuring every child reaches their full potential.

Role: As a Co-opted Governor, you will:

  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the school.
  • Support and challenge the leadership team to ensure high standards of achievement.
  • Bring your unique skills and perspectives to enhance our governance.

The main functions of the Local Governing Body is to focus on:

  • Pupil and staff wellbeing.
  • Quality of the school offer.
  • Pupil progress.
  • Position of the school in the local community.

We Are Looking For:

  • Individuals with a passion for education and a commitment to our values.
  • A willingness to attend meetings and participate in training.

Time Commitment:

  • Attend approximately three meetings per year, each lasting around two hours (one per term).
  • Attend one Governor Development Day session a year.
  • Particulate in statutory safeguarding training.
  • Carry out school monitoring visits (one per term).
